Sagamihara Eidgah Jame Mosque in Kanagawa Prefecture is a mosque that blends in with the natural beauty of Japan. The mosque, known as Tana Masalla for more than a decade, became a full-fledged mosque by the end of 2023.

The mosque was built on its own land with the efforts of dedicated devotees. There is also a huge car parking facility. The mosque is managed mainly by Bangladeshis. Pakistani and Sri Lankan brothers are also standing shoulder to shoulder.

Currently Sagamihara is home to a significant number of Muslims. Most of them are Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Sri Lankan. The city has several mosques and musallas. Sagamihara Mosque is one of the oldest names among them. After the new construction of the mosque, a separate place for women's prayer and ablution, a room for the Imams was added. Apart from this, there are other facilities including kitchen.

The mosque authorities did not stop at building it. They are working on the Islamic education of children to sow the seeds of Islam in the new generation. Efforts are also underway to build an academy where not only children but also adults and non-Muslims can get more initiation and research about Islam. Everyone is requested to pray to Allah Subhanatalah to make this effort of the zealots successful.
